Meet Jesse Dickenson
I'm Jesse Dickenson, a REALTOR® with Brookdale Property Management in Fayetteville. I'm an Air Force veteran, I grew up around real estate, and I manage rental properties every day. That mix means I understand what military families, first-time buyers, sellers, and investors are up against, because I've stood on almost every side of the deal.
From the Flight Line to Fayetteville
I spent three and a half years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft armament systems specialist (2W1). I was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Texas, Hill AFB in Utah, and Eglin AFB in Florida, and I deployed to Germany. An injury during that deployment sent me home and ended my Air Force career, but not my connection to the military community.
I made three PCS moves, so I know how stressful they can be. On one of them, the movers broke my dinnerware and lost my TV. It's a small story, but it's why I take the details of your move seriously. When you're on orders, you need someone who communicates, follows through, and doesn't let anything slip.
Real estate runs in my family. My parents are brokers on the West Coast, and growing up I watched them help people buy their first homes, sell to friends and family, and make lifelong friends along the way. They also taught me that work-life balance is what keeps you a good agent and a good husband. I give every workday my full effort, then I go home to my family and my animals.
I got into property management because I rent my own home. I know what tenants expect, and as a property manager I know what investors need from a tenant. I handle leasing, maintenance coordination, lease violations, notices, court, and everything in between. That experience helps my buyers and sellers too: I can tell you how a home is likely to rent, which repairs matter, and what it really takes to sell a home with a tenant in it.
Why Fayetteville?
When people ask me why Fayetteville, I tell them everyone has their why. Here's mine. I live off Cedar Creek Road and love the country feel. I'm close to the VA and right next to Fort Bragg, where I can still see my friends. There's always something to do, and not every part of town is what people assume. And Sammio's will always have the best shrimp Alfredo around.
Off the clock, I share my home with two dogs and three cats. I volunteer with Civil Air Patrol and hand out food at my local food pantry. I strive to be the best me and to always be kind and always be selfless. Serving the community didn't stop when I took off the uniform.
